Did I mention...
Did I already mention that here in Exeter the sun is shining with all its might? No snow, no hail, no cold?
Did I already mention that I just learned a new word for hail, being 'sleet'?
Did I already mention that our cottage in Seaton this week was simply perfect? Both the living-room and our bedroom looked out over sea. The living-room was furnished with soft carpet, very suitable to sit on and unpack kerstpaketten and spaceous enough not to have to clean up the mess you made in doing so, either because your parents tell you to or because you keep tripping over them. And finally - let's call it the klap op de vuurpijl for the occasion - the cottage had mengkranen (mixer taps)! It must have been more than three months since I saw a real mengkraan! How I love them! You can do things under them! Like washing your hands, doing the dishes, and probably much more which I forgot during three very cold and very hot months of deprivation.
(I must admit that one advantage of having two separate taps is that you don't have to wait for the water to run cold when making a glass of lemonade...)
